STRIPPER TIPS: 7 THINGS EVERY CHICAGO STRIP CLUB CUSTOMER SHOULD KNOW

STRIPPER TIPS: 7 THINGS EVERY STRIP CLUB CUSTOMER SHOULD KNOW

For the strip club newcomer, we present 7 simple tips on what to expect and do for your first strip club visit in Chicago.

Dress Nice

It is important you dress nice and present yourself properly. You're there to impress so weird clothing and body odor is not good. Please shower prior to going out and chew gum for pleasant breath. Ladies approach the men who look and smell clean.

Bring Cash

If you don't have a care in the world about paying service fees on your credit card, bring cash. This is a tipping Industry so before you enter and leave the venue, you'll notice that you'll be tipping dancers, waitresses, bartenders, floor host, door host, if they sit you in a nice area, the DJ, if you’re thinking about making a music request and the valet.  You can bring your big bills; clubs have lots of singles and fives to make changes.

Dayshift vs Night shift visit

If you don't have that much money to spend for a visit, or if you are not looking to be in an overcrowded place, perhaps you can have a dayshift visit for your first time.  Most strip clubs dayshift offers a Happy Hour special which usually includes no cover charge, discounted drinks and good lunch specials.  Since it’s not so crowded, you are most likely to get a special treatment from staff and entertainers who have more time to sit around and talk with you.  If you are looking for louder music, fast pace and more girls, then the night shift is a good fit.

Taking pictures

Many strip clubs have a no picture policy at all times.  If staff or the girls see you take out your phone and take pictures of girls on stage you might get a visit from a few bulky friendly bouncers who will want to make sure you understand the no pictures rule.  If you want a picture of your first club visit, you might have better luck if you find a floor host and ask them to take a picture of you and your friends.  They might be motivated to help out since it’s them taking the picture for you and they can make sure no pictures of the girls are taken.  If you have a nice enough entertainer sitting with you, she might even be okay with being in the picture.  Just make sure you ask first!  It sure doesn’t hurt.

Buying a beverage

If you don't drink alcohol that’s ok, buy a soda, bottled water or any non-alcoholic beverage.  If you really don’t want a drink, don’t expect to sit at a table and not order anything.  Tables are for customers that order…. anything.  It can even be food if the club has a kitchen, believe it or not, many strip clubs rank high on having great food.  Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami is often lauded by celebrities for their Lemon Pepper wings and fried lobster tail.  Some BYOB clubs charge a price for sitting at an empty table.  This might work for you if you don’t want to stand.

Sitting at the stage

Patrons that sit at the stage usually do so to see the endless display of girls dancing their 2 or 3 song set.  Topless clubs only allow topless dancing and full nude clubs you'll see everything.  Stage sitters usually like to get their fill on watching all the girls the club has to offer.  They are not usually into buying dances but don't mind sitting on stage with a stack of singles stuffing some dollars in a few garters as the girls show off their dance moves. Whatever you do, don’t throw change.  That’s not what garters are for.

Interacting with the Girls

Be nice to the girls.  Just because they are strippers doesn’t mean you are allowed to be mean or rude.  Don’t be grabby, pushy or insist on her telling you her real name.  The pole dancers prefer to keep their lives private from their fantasy show they provide to you.

Finally, due to COVID-19, you will see restrictions at the clubs.  It is now normal to see temperature checks at the door, hand-sanitizing stations throughout the clubs, proper signage/markings promoting social distancing, frequent cleanings and mandatory masks for staff and guests.  Please follow the rules for the staff safety and yours.

We hope our tips help you enjoy your first strip club visit in Chicago!
